GHA Message to Women of the World
Woman Mission in the 21st Century:
Global Peace through Harmony and Global Peace Science

GHA congratulates all harmonious classes (SPHERONS’) of women, we wish you a happy life in peace from harmony, which can o¬nly be the result of your high moral mission of a balanced life dedicated to Global Peace via your priority in it.

We all are the harmonious SPHERONS members and we must work to achieve gender equality, empower women more in politics, good governance and socio-economic projects.
GHA is proud to celebrate International Women’s Day on 8th March every year since we are deeply committed to promoting the role of women in peace building and transforming the world through peace from harmony & harmonious education. The 2016 theme for International Women’s Day is “Planet 50-50 by 2030: Step It Up for Gender Equality.”
GHA’s Woman Mission in the 21st Century “Peace on Planet through Peace from harmony, Gender Equality and women empowerment by 2030.Women are the born peace makers and Peace Leaders for developing culture of peace and harmony in the family and in the society. Peace Education can initiate social changes and hence social development, by bringing about a change in attitude for gender equality, empowering women more in politics and good governance.
GHA strongly believe that for a new era of peace, harmony, and sustainability to grow, there must be a rebalancing and harmonizing of the feminine power with the masculine. Women have been marginalized and suppressed for millennia and we are therefore keen on bringing forth the wisdom and power of feminism and in supporting women in stepping forward in Peace and leadership roles.
Global Peace Science: Victory of Peace over War in XXI century is having a Noble Peace Mission of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam’- World is One family through peace from harmony , Women dignity & empowerment for saving the Earth planet and humanity in 21st century.
A real woman brings up her children harmoniously, is devoted to God, takes care of her parents, inspire her husband to give up bad habits like excessive smoking / gambling / anti-social activities etc and communicate with the world in a harmonious state of compassion and understanding of society, besides taking care of herself through yoga and meditation .
While some women remain oppressed by a male dominated society and adopt lifestyle which curtails their freedom like supporting veils or covering their head , there are other women who In the name of women’s liberation are seen to adopt bad life styles at the cost of their self-dignity, family and children leading to broken homes etc. In both cases it is only women who can change the situation as they are the ultimate sufferers. Therefore to have a peaceful world, women have a vital role to play in peace implementation. Women have a key role to play in the education of children in the spirit of Global Peace Science, which was first established in Global Harmony Association!
GHA congratulates Global women Peace Leaders and wishes them a happy life in peace from harmony!
The GHA offers a bouquet of flowers with PEACE & HARMONY!

Happy Women’s Day!

By: Ayo Ayoola-Amale, a Peace builder.
I sat high upon a mountain overlooking the world. I saw the oneness of all creation. The day before I had slipped out of Accra, I knew that if I could always remain on the mountaintop I would never descend into the valley. In complete harmony I could be of greater usefulness. I could be of greater service to humanity. When I woke up at dawn I was in New Delhi, the breath of a new life in the year 2015.The spirit of peace in India filled everywhere with boundless energy that grew with time. I was surrounded by all the good things, like love, peace and joy in every city, in all the institutions, and places I visited and by all the lovely people I met. I felt very uplifted, more uplifted- every flower, every tree, seemed to wear a halo. Importantly, was the realization of the oneness of all creation. Life on the peace path agreed with me.
The message of the Hindu gods, the Buddha in Buddhism, and Islam was a simple one: overcome evil with good, hatred with love and falsehood with truth. This was the message of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our inner peace comes first, and then peace will be attainable among individuals, the community, the nations and the world. The Universal message of perennial, spiritual truths is clothed in this simple and understandable life.
It was not the Scholars erudition that spoke at this World Conference but the eternal truth released in its full effulgence in this gathering. Incredible India!
ISISAR in collaboration with WCPA, IPPNO (USA) and Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture organized World Thinkers’ & Writers” Peace Meet 2015 on the central theme ‘Religions, Cultural Harmony and Peace’, dedicated to Swami Vivekananda, a celebrated Peace Thinker and Humanist.
Swami Vivekananda through his life and works highlighted the essentials for world peace-respecting and accepting variety in religion and cultures but recognizing their underlying unity and giving each individual greater human worth and a higher common destiny.
International Scholars, Poets, Writers, Philosophers, Educators etc, from all over the world attended the five days conference. I gave presentation titled “The Role of Religious Leaders in Peace Building.” I recited my peace poems and spoke on the Culture of Peace and active Non-Violence etc.
I knew what I was to do after attending the conference in Kolkata; I wore the garb of my mission. I flew from City to City for Peace. I took wings to Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Bangalore, Cochin, Coimbatore, Chennai and finally to New Delhi.
I gave presentations on various topics in Legal, Social and Political Reforms, Human Rights, Interfaith Dialogue, Global Peace, I spoke about the Culture of Peace and active Non-Violence and about the way to peace., Gandhi’s Leadership model, Peace Education etc. and also recited my Peace Poems. I also spoke of my own personal experiences and insights, in different Universities and colleges in seven cities in India on a World Peace tour series as an Ambassador for Peace SRMT, courtesy of the benevolence of the great Mission Trust of India and the genius of Prof S. A. R. P.V Chaturvedi.
I was very happy to meet the wonderful SRMT family- Respected Swamiji Chaturvedi in Coimbatore, Prof Swaminadham in Hyderabad , Justice P.K Shamsuddin in Cochin, Justice Dr T.N Vallinayagam in Chennai, Lovely Ms Gomathi, Ravi and other brothers and sisters in Chennai.
I was warmly welcomed with bouquet of flowers. I was honored with the Indian national symbol plaque and received Silver plaque, and very lovely gifts and books. I had a wonderful and memorable time in India! Surely, the important things of living, is a committed existence of love and service.
Several questions were asked by University students. I hereby share some:
1. QUE: when and how did I start my service to humanity?
My response to this was: Service to others has always been part of my life. This is so because it gives my life meaning. When I was in secondary school, I thought deeply what I really wanted for my life. It was then I felt a complete willingness, without any reservations, to give my life to something beyond myself – to dedicate my life – to service. Then a great peace came over me. I joined Girls Guide and the Red Cross Society. I was very committed and gave my all.
When I was in the university I joined the Rotaract Club (junior Rotary) and Women In Nigeria (WIN).
This was the turning point for my life. I can never go back to completely self-centered living.
2. Question from a University student: Can Poetry bring world peace?
My Answer:
No, not exactly. My responsibility as a poet and peace builder is to rouse people from apathy and make them think….”
The path to peace is to provide an environment where everyone can flourish devoid of any form of discrimination- religion, race, gender, etc. The path of Truth, justice, and Non-violent resolution is the part to peace.
There is within the hearts of every human being a deep desire for peace, and they would speak for peace if they were not bound by apathy, by ignorance or by fear. It is the responsibility of peacemakers to inspire them from their apathy, to dispel their ignorance with truth, to allay their fear with faith that God’s laws work for good….the way of peace is the way of love. The greatest power on earth is love. It conquers all things… Simply, the way to peace is to overcome evil with good, falsehood with truth, and hatred with love.
3. Question: How did you find peace within you?
My Answer: There is a difference between the willingness to give of myself and the actual giving. During this period I was engaged in a great struggle between my “lower, self-centered nature,” and the “higher, God-centered nature. So there is a constant struggle. This can only be fully controlled by the God-centered nature. When the God-centered nature took over, i found inner peace.
I believe that overcoming selfishness and gaining release from its power were key to attaining inner peace and spiritual maturity. I believed that when you attain that physical, mental and emotional maturity- you would be in total harmony and control of the self. I feel my faith in God strengthen as an omnipotent source of divine inspiration.
Mankind must learn the way of peace. My message is that whatever you feel called to do for peace in the world do it.

Dr. Leo Semashko,
GHA President

Dr. Subhash Chandra,
GHA Secretary General,

The General Assembly of the United Nations has declared today 21st of September, 2015 as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples. The theme of this year’s commemoration is “Partnerships for Peace – Dignity for All” which focus on the importance of all sectors of society to work together to strive for peace
It is very important to plant the seeds of peace within ourselves as we also pursue eternal world peace.
We should connect with the greatest power that emanates from within- the power of love, to create cultures of peace, justice and harmony. The sacredness of life expressed through the power of love and compassion for humanity can heal the world and bring dignity for all.
Peace, love and justice should shape our lives as human beings. Peacemaking, Peace building and Peace keeping is the work that so many of us have been engaged in for so long. It is a vital work on the pathway to peace. And in the face of so many external threats to life, religion, health, environment, economy, human rights, political stability, and regional and global aggression, it is reasonable that our focus would be drawn to the world around us. Our work should be focused on conceiving of nonviolent instrumental mechanisms of peace-building that engage these issues and create the conditions for peace and human security. This is an essential work, and only accomplished if we come together in one accord without permitting our religious, cultural and national differences to hinder our goal and see our diversity as strength rather than obstacle to our collective action.

On this International Day of Peace, may we be the peace for the advancement of true love and true life in the world.
In peace,

The international poetry festival of Medellin celebrated 25 years of bringing poetry to the people- A cultural revolution of healing decades of pain from the Colombian wars from July 11th to July 18th, 2015 and I was there as a guest poet and coordinator of the World Poetry School. I am the 7th Nigerian to be invited to this wonderful festival. The Nigerian Poets who have attended as guest poets are- Odia Ofeimun 2000, Wole Soyinka 2005, Toyin Adewale 2006, Niyi Osundare, Obi Nwakanma, and Chris Abani.
The festival promotes cultural networking and exchange. The cultural networking is evident in a multitude of the different continents and countries represented at the festival. The event is an opportunity to celebrate poetry and culture as well as provide a platform where we are able to underscore the diversity of cultures- the creative perspective of poets themselves, as well as the perspective of different cultures regarding the reading and performance of poetry. Poetry is the foundation and culmination of all the literary genres that provide the basis for understanding and exploring the essence of culture. The festival organizers realize that their role is to create truly meaningful development possibilities in Colombia, healing, reconciliation and peace. The festival provides a space for the audiences to get acquainted with poetry from different continents. This gave the poets the opportunity to create an enriching dialogue; the festival allows the poets to create a fascinating intellectual exchange with other poets. We met, listened to and interacted.
The audiences were ecstatic with fire. The amphitheaters were full- always!
The festival gave a wide platform for expression and exchange between all the participants, and the poets and audiences. There were poetry readings and performances in different parts of Medellin, Bogota, Cali – all over Colombia.
WOW! It was a wonderful experience, I felt like my heart exploded open with so much love, so much warmth, so much energy, so much poetry, and so much light beams! Poetry reached my soul.
Here in the garden of poems there are glad years of colours. Here poets
come in and the air is delighted. Here poems
grow on trees well versed.
Here sweet blend of flowers read with fire the lyrics of life.
Here poems sprout deep within Over there
they slept beside me
and the storm drowned.

The 2nd World Poetry Summit for Peace and Reconciliation in Colombia within the framework of the 25th Medellin International Poetry Festival, between July 13 and 17, was celebrated around three themes: The tasks of poetry and art in the construction of peace, a new language and a new culture in Colombia; Poetry and Art: defense of the Earth and of all living beings and Poetry is the feasible impossible: global actions for changing life. The unrelenting building of peace is our responsibility- The responsibilities of building the peace of dignity and human respect serves a deep internal purpose.
There were in attendance, the Festival’s guest poets and audience from different parts of the world, researchers, peace and human rights activists, social leaders, journalists and intellectuals. A series of activities addressed to the general public, such as plays, concerts and conferences and lectures were also held.
The truth is that poets have an obligation to add value to lives through poetry- to leave this world better than they found it. In a world no one knows how to love anymore. Poets for peace shed tears of awakening, of love, of beauty and light. We teach others how to live. We teach the art of living.
I believe in vision with action. As a poet and peace builder, I get satisfaction from making progress by joining my vision with the right action.
Peace poems have the power to develop our humanity, to shift listeners into higher states of consciousness and empower them to tap into the splendor of unlimited potential. Through the powerful combination of life –changing poems, innovative mind sets and transformative processes, poets are providing pathways where people could be more prosperous, be inspired, have passion, meaning and fulfillment in their lives.
Poetry is the reflection of the world and humanity. Poetry is an art for the nurturing of the spirit.
The fact is that peace is enshrined within us loud as silence.
Let us continue to nurture each other’s humanity for when humanity flourishes, an awakened self develops and recognizes the richness of the human heart.

The wholeness of dawn peels In this silence where cloak souls freeze solid.                                                                             A world we want and want not melts into barrenness In a courtyard toys trigger and communities spill from wombs
Jump numb, say evaporate, And storms full under by description, by no description.                                                            And all is an answer.
That heavy toy breathes at my side, sleeps with me. This scrum of appetite is dusk returning to dusk
Like a volcano, discharges “crash crack, create bridges, break bridges. Our hissing heavens, the gorgeous rubbles
Silent sky-high beyond and beyond drags its wings and tucks a few like fingers away.                                                               And all is an answer
A snowstorm running in wild terror and more snowstorms growing in, growing out into what all have grown.                    understanding that understanding is impossible, a heartbeat of a world that never had one nestles on hanging loose                                                                                                                                                                            crumbling and unending                                                                                                                                                                                 And all is an answer seeking to understand or understanding                                                                                                                                                                            the only war here is man.

Poetry is the voice. Poetry is the true voice. The true voice is the poet’s voice. Poetry is the thunder of singing hearts. Poetry is the dancing petal frothed in love. Poetry is the fingers of life bringing wholeness.
We need poetry. We really do. Poetry promotes literacy, builds community, and fosters emotional resilience. It can cross boundaries that little else can.
Personally, poetry makes me feel life! I am always very happy contributing to something greater than myself- happy to give birth to the great things and let them grow- to open to the true and joy of being. Just now I walked beneath the greening branches; within the infinite folds- I heard the true voice:
We awaken from drunken stagnation,
forgot that the self exists
and found the dawn.
-humanity is my sun.
