Hi there! I am the peace and the poet and this is my website. I live in Ghana and Nigeria where I work for peace and do pretty awesome things for humanity. GROWINTOPEACE work to challenge and replace the traditional worldview with a considerably greater image of humanity informed by peace, art, harmonious living, nonviolence and its implications for the meaning of life and value of the person. "For me; peace activism entails looking inward. If there’s a war going on inside of you — addiction, depression, or self-loathing etc — you must fight back your inner conflict first before you’re truly in a position to spread peace to others. Real peace will come only when we all find peace within ourselves and we conquer hatred. I discover for myself the true nature of war and peace in the world- to transform our own violence and the violence around us into wholeness." - Ayo Ayoola-Amale "Peace activism today goes beyond taking to the streets in anger to rage against the system, it’s about finding peace from within and then sharing that peace with others through inspired action that is meaningful to you. As a 21st century peace activist i search beyond how others construe the current state of the world, and define it for myself. It’s an authentic path of inner growth and discovery where i hold in my heart that if i choose peace in my life, the world will follow. I choose to live my mission, and to achieve the most within that mission. Importantly, my work is to further humanity’s evolution in the direction of progressive values of peace, love and harmony; to create more of the values, including justice, equality and freedom, which make life worth living. To be my fullest self and represent the strength that inspires growth and shape tomorrow”. -Ayo Ayoola-Amale About Me (Briefly): Ayo Ayoola-Amale is a Lawyer, Certified Conflict Resolution Consultant, Educator, Trainer/Facilitator, Author, Poet /Artist, Social-justice and Peace Activist. She is currently the Lead, First Conflict Resolution Services and President, WILPF Ghana, a feminist peace organisation that focus on promoting feminist peace, women and girl’s rights. Ayo has an academic background in law, mediation, and conflict resolution with over 28 years of experience and over four decades of peace advocacy, peace building working on women and girl’s rights, and as lecturer in law, mediation and conflict resolution in universities, peace building, conflict resolution and governance starting as a devoted Girl Guide in her teens where there are Girl Guiding groups set up with a focus to work on social justice issues, such as violence against women and girls. She later became the lead of Girl Guide and peace-building became a lifetime commitment. Ayo is a dedicated advocate for feminist peace, women and girl’s rights who look for innovative ways to promote peace through poetry and the arts. She is very passionate about building people and impacting lives. She thinks our talents and skills are gifts that should be used to make a better world. Through her feminist peace activism Ayo has supported women and girls in peace building, mediation and mentoring to live their live in full and on purpose. Ayo is constantly focused on conflict resolution and peace-building and believes that Peace is a Human Right and culture that we build by educating young people. The goal of her product and services is to solve problems and experience a meaningful form of engagement in people’s everyday needs and lives; and ultimately leave the world in a better place than where she found it.
